Long icon filenames on windows xp desktop

This article will show you how to get long filenames visible on desktop. A simple registry change is the solution.

Press the Start button. Select Run.. and type "regedit".

Find the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop \ WindowMetrics. Right click on the right pane and create IconTitleWrap. Set IconTitleWrap to 0.
