Connect your computer and periphals to a power strip.

After you have shut down your computer you can switch off all the electricity to your computer and possible periphals like any hardware device connected to a computer. Such as a monitor, keyboard, printer, and so on.

Otherwise your computer and periphals consumes electricity, despite being shut off. A shut down computer consumes between 0 - 5 watts.
