This article Windows xp: Synchronize folders shows you how to synchronize files and folders from a network you occasionally connect to. This article shows you how to list all offline files and folders, that later will be synchronized.
Instructions:
- Start Windows explorer
- Go to "tools" in the menu
- Click "Folder options..."
- Go to tab "Offline files"
- Click "View files"

OK. This actually shows how to list all offline *FILES* (by having an 'offline files folder' on the desktop), but it DOES NOT list the offline *FOLDERS*. You may see in the 'offline files folder' the folder each file belongs to, but... what about empty folders? How do you list such those folders ?. Folders without files are not listed in the 'offline files folder', because no FILES to list.
I have MANY folders mark as 'offline' spread around a server that does not exists any more, but Windows always tries to synchronize with. Although I have delete all the files belonging to that server Windows seems still to have links to these folders and I do not know how to delete them!!!.
