Instructions:

  1. Click "Start" button
  2. Click "Run..."
  3. Type "regedit" and then press enter
  4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Outlook Express
  5. Create or modify "Hide Messenger" (DWORD-value)
  6. Change value to 2 (Messengerwill not load)
  7. Exit registry

Restart computer to apply settings
