Windows xp: How to exclude a program permanently from most frequently used programs on start menu

Instructions:
- Click "Start" button
- Click "Run..."
- Type "Regedit" and then press enter
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileAssociation \
- Double click "AddRemoveApps"
- Type ";" and then the program executable you want to exclude from most frequently used programs on start menu
For example: ;Excel.exe
To disable most frequently used programs on start menu:
- Right click on "start" button
- Click "Properties"
- Click "Customize..."
- Select zero number of programs to show on start menu
- Click ok!
