In an earlier article i wrote about how to fix low volume while playing divx/xvid, this article will solve the problem with low volume spdif.

1. Install AC3 filter.
   
2. Go to tab "Main"
3. Enable spdif
4. Change preset to loud
5. Close ac3 filter
6. Press "Start" button
7. Click "Run..."
8. Type "regedit" + press enterBackup Regedit
9. Find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Media Center \ Service \ Video"
10. Change "PreferredMPEG2AudioDecoder" to
    {A753A1EC-973E-4718-AF8E-A3F554D45C44}
    (with brackets) (AC3 filter audioDecoder)
11. Exit registry

Restart computer
