Instructions:

1. Start Windows explorer (Win key + E)
2. Enable "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"

3. Browse to "\ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ eHome \ Recordings \"
4. Backup "recordings.xml" and "recordings.bak"

To restore windows media center with backup files:

1. Close Windows media center interface
2. Make sure "Media Center Receiver Service" and "Media Center Scheduler Service" is not running.
   How to? Use taskmanager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to select and end these services
3. Copy "recordings.xml" and "recordings.bak" to "\ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ eHome \ Recordings \"
4. Restart computer
