Windows xp reads information from media to let you find out properties (width, height, bitrate and so on) of avi files. This "behavior" can lock your avi files from being deleted, causing an error.

How to avoid windows from "locking" media files:

  1. Press "Start button"
  2. Click "Run..."
  3. Type "regedit" + Enter
  4. Find the key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ SystemFileAssociations \ .avi \ shellex \ PropertyHandler
  5. Remove value "Default"
