The image above shows lines between each colored column, here is how to add them automatically to your chart.

  1. Select chart.
  2. Go to tab "Design" on the ribbon.
  3. Click "Add Chart Element" button.
  4. Click "Lines".
  5. Click "Series Lines".

Lines are now visible between the columns.

How to change line thickness

  1. Click once on one line between columns to select them all.
  2. Go to tab "Format" on the ribbon.
  3. Click on arrow to display all Shape Styles.
  4. Select a line thickness and color.
  5. Hovering over a line and the chart shows a preview in real time.
